The town of Varna - the sea capital of Bulgaria

Greek settlers founded the city in the VI-th century BC and they named it Odessos. Here is the oldest gold treasury, mastered by mankind in the world during IV-th millennium BC, memorials from the Roman and Byzantium Empires.

You can easily reach the town of Varna by sea, by air or surface transport, using its large cargo, passengers and yacht seaports, modern airport, railway station and convenient autobahns. Famous Bulgarian Black sea resorts "Sts Constantine and Helene", "Golden Sands" and "Albena" are located very close to the city of Varna.

The town of Varna is the administrative, economical and cultural center of the region. Great opportunities for organizing of international events - conferences, congresses and festivals are offered in the city. Some of the world wide known facilities are the Festival Center, Palace of Culture and Sport, Puppet theatre, Drama theatre and Opera House, city art gallery, old churches and museums - archeological, ethnographic and museum of the Bulgarian Navy etc.

The town of Varna welcomes every year the international music festival "Varna Summer", the international ballet, folk and jazz festivals as well as many other cultural events. The aquarium, the Nature museum and the Zoo make the list of sea attractions in Varna more complete. The dolphinarium is the second largest one and the sea garden is the biggest on the Balkan Peninsula, having local and Mediterranean flora that make the Maritime garden a really pictorial one.
